Perseverance

**I'm sorry this is super late!
My definition of perseverance is not quitting even when things get tough. To persevere, not quitting. A time I persevered is when I joined band.
In the beginning, band was fun. Exciting to learn a new instrument! I had picked the saxophone and was gear to start learning. But in the middle of 5th grade, things started to get boring. I would dread going to band for RTI. The next year, people dropped out of band like flies. And the next year.
I wanted to quit, but I was determined to become good at something. (Also, I wasn't allowed to quit). So I played, year after year, and eventually, got pretty good. Now in 8th grade I can call myself good at saxophone without it being a lie. A small example, but one I still find fitting.
